Stara Komenda Brewery
he Stara Komenda Brewery is a place combining the features of the brewing company, restaurant and pub. There were dozens of such places in Szczecin in the West Pomeranian region. Today, Stara Komenda Brewery as the first one returns to this style and offers its guests a natural beer brewed on site.
In the building aged more than 150 years, in the place of the former military headquarters, we have reconstructed the climate of the pre-war pub and eatery. Here, everyone can witness the production process, which is based on the centuries-old brewing tradition. Brewing takes place with use of modern equipment, using only four ingredients: water, malt, hops and yeast.
The beer from the Stara Komenda Brewery is matured for several weeks. During this time it takes a bunch of flavours and aromas, and gets naturally saturated with carbon dioxide. Our beers are unpasteurised and unfiltered so they do not lose their flavour. They contain vitamins B, PP, mineral salts and trace elements.
